The simplest ideas are often the best, the most important thing is DO SOMETHING!

Hold a compulsory chapel meeting; work your proper hours for a day; deliver a collective grievance around pay or conditions to your management or hand out leaflets to the public during lunch break.

Or why not simply all 'Stand Up' for Journalism at work at the same time
for a minute or two.

Don't feel restricted to these ideas though, the sky's the limit! The NUJ president will be presenting a case of fine wine to the branch or chapel with the best event on the day.

We would also like each chapel and branch to send a representative to join us in Manchester. Imagine the impact 400 people from different workplaces and regions could make - media owners and shareholders will know we are serious about protecting our industry.
