Ask your MP to sign Early Day Motion 1994 urging the authorities to investigate the link between concentration of ownership and declining standards. www.writetothem.com.

This house notes the concern expressed by politicians, community organisations and the public over declining standards in many media; notes that journalists themselves have expressed similar concerns and welcomes the action being taken by media workers in the UK and across Europe on 5 November; believes there is a link between concentration of media ownership, profiteering by media companies, staffing cuts and declining standards; urges the relevant authorities to investigate the effect such actions have on media standards.
