Workplace issue-specific petitions/grievances

The November 5th day of action is your chance to highlight the issues of concern to your members.

Chapels and branches will focus their action around a range of different issues - pay, pensions, staffing levels, job cuts, workloads, working hours and other issues affecting quality and standards.

Whilst the online petition is a union-wide activity these petitions are for use in your workplace, giving you the opportunity to organise around key issues in your company.

Once members have signed, the petitions can be presented to management on November 5th as part of your activities on the day. (Don't forget to let us know you're presenting the petitions and how many people have signed).

They could even form part of a formal union grievance over the issues highlighted.

However you use them, seek a meeting with managers asking them to explain how they intend to tackle the issues you are raising - and let us know how you get on.
